Apply for the Founding Sixteen

Sixteen numbered founding memberships — twelve Home, four Studio — and every one begins the same way: a refundable deposit that holds your number, a written application, and a written invitation if we can serve you exceptionally. This page is the whole process, in plain words.

The three steps

1 Place the deposit

$500 for Home, $1,000 for Studio. It holds your Founding Member № while your application is reviewed, it is refundable in full until you are accepted, and on acceptance it is credited to your founding year. The seat counts on the deposit pages are live — they are the real inventory.

2 Write the application

A short written application, reviewed with care and answered in writing — no calls at any step. You send it through the contact form, alongside your deposit — nothing else is needed. It is how we find out whether we can serve you exceptionally, and how you find out whether you want us to.

3 Receive the invitation

Accepted members receive a written invitation with a 10-day window and a private link to confirm the founding year. Your deposit is credited against it. If the window passes, the number returns to the pool and the deposit is returned in full.

Who is accepted

The standard is public, and it is about fit, not status: we accept members whose archives and households we can serve exceptionally. A shelf of family papers or a practice's decades of files we can load and care for beautifully — that is a yes. A situation we cannot serve at that standard — we say so in writing, before any invitation, and before you have spent anything beyond a deposit that comes straight back.

What the application covers

Four things, in whatever order suits you. Your archive — what exists, where it lives, and what scope of loading your Life Graph needs. Your household or practice — who will use the assistant and what work it will carry: family papers and calendars, or client files and records with rules attached. The machine — whether Home or Studio fits, honestly, including when the smaller one is the right answer. Your questions — anything on the answers page or off it, answered in writing before you commit to anything.

What happens after acceptance

Three things, in order. Your founding year is confirmed with you in writing — the configuration, the number, the price, the scope of your archive load. Then your build begins: the machine is assembled to order, engraved with your Founding Member №, and loaded with the records you approve. Then it arrives working — you plug it in, point your phone at the card in the box, and say hello. From the written confirmation on, the founding year is final: every system is built to one member, and there is no generic stock. What protects you is the written review before any invitation, the confirmation in writing, the 72-hour arrival guarantee, and a warranty that is ours for as long as you subscribe.

The finality, stated plainly: the deposit is refundable in full until you are accepted. After acceptance, your founding year is confirmed with you in writing and is final.

Estate & Office applicants

Estate & Office membership — multiple homes or sites, from $36,000 a year — is never a cart product. It begins with the same written application, and there is no deposit to place: reach us here, mention Estate, and the whole conversation is carried out in writing — scope and terms before anything is built.

Before you apply

Is the deposit really refundable?

Yes — in full, until you are accepted. If we are not the right fit, if you change your mind before acceptance, or if your invitation window passes, the deposit comes back whole. On acceptance it stops being a deposit and becomes the first $500 or $1,000 of your founding year.

What if I am not sure which machine fits?

Place the deposit for the one that seems closer — the application exists to settle exactly this, and moving your application between Home and Studio before acceptance is just a written note, not a penalty.

How fast does this move?

Your application is reviewed within days of your deposit. Acceptance brings a written invitation with a 10-day window. After you confirm, your build begins — built to order, so we give you the honest timeline in writing rather than a number on a page.

What does acceptance commit me to?

Nothing until it is in writing. Acceptance brings the invitation; your founding year begins when you confirm it and we confirm it back in writing — and from that point it is final, because your machine is then built, engraved, and loaded for you alone.
