The Archive Assessment $1,950

A written scope of your material and a working demonstration built on a sample of it, which you keep either way. Delivered work, credited in full against the first year by the one-use link in the letter that delivers your Assessment. It is the same work every first year begins with.

What you pay for yourself

Electricity — about as much as a desk lamp. An internet connection at home, if you choose the cabinet — you reach the machine over it. Sales tax where it applies, added at checkout. $99 shipping to the countries we ship to outside the U.S. (listed on the shipping page). Nothing else.

One home under one roof, or one practice in one office, is the first year — however many of you there are. Several homes, several offices, or staff spread across sites: by conversation, scoped in writing. Not sure which you are? Order the first year; if it needs more, our letter says so before anything is final. The machine stays ours to place, maintain and replace; nothing becomes yours to keep. The model trained on your material serves you and nobody else while the service runs, and is deleted, confirmed in writing, when it ends.

You begin with the first year. If you like, add a piece of the work before it: you choose a slice of your household’s records — whichever part of your paperwork you would most like taken off your hands — and we catalogue what is actually in it.

You receive a written scope: what can be trained on, what cannot, how long it would take, and what it would mean for an assistant to know it. Alongside it comes a working demonstration built on a sample of your own material rather than on somebody else’s. You keep both, whether or not you go any further — and it is the same work every first year begins with.

Delivered work, credited in full

The Assessment is delivered work you keep. Once we begin it is not refundable; if we decline the commission we return it in full. If you go on, the one-use link in the letter that delivers your Assessment applies the credit.

Final, and said plainly

You order and pay at checkout; we write back within days — a decline returns every dollar, and until our letter confirms the year you may withdraw in writing. From that letter the year is final, and it arrives on the date the letter names. Thirty days before each anniversary we write with the figure — $4,995 — and the link; nothing renews unless you use it. Stop in writing at any time, effective at the end of the paid year — we would rather tell you that here than at the end.

And the one that costs us the most: we read every order, and if we cannot serve you well we say so in writing and return every dollar. Until that letter you may withdraw in writing; from it the year is final. We would rather turn someone away than take a year's fee for a poor fit.

What protects me before the year is final?

Every machine is loaded for one household or one practice, so there is nothing generic to lend out and take back. What protects you instead: the Assessment as a smaller first step, our letter — which sets down the year and the date it arrives — before anything ships, the written scope before anything is loaded, a free replacement if it arrives damaged or fails on first setup (tell us within 72 hours of delivery), and a warranty that makes repairs our job.

What do I own?

What happens at the anniversary?

Your year runs from the day it arrives — the date in our letter — and that day is the anniversary. Buying the first year is the sign-up; there is no second form. Thirty days before each anniversary we write with the figure — $4,995 — and the direct link to renew. Nothing renews unless you use that link. If the anniversary passes without it, the year ends there: we write once more, then collect the machine, or wipe the one in our cabinet, and delete the trained model, confirmed in writing.

What happens if I stop?

Stop in writing at any time, effective at the end of the paid year; a year already begun is final. We collect the machine, or wipe the one in our cabinet, and delete the trained model — both confirmed to you in writing. You keep: your own material, the written scopes, the Assessment's scope and demonstration, and the backup copy of your material on the drive you own; the trained model is not on that drive.

Will I get extra bills for the big outside models?

No. Some of the big outside AI services — the ones you may already know by name — are better at the hardest tasks, and we will not pretend otherwise. Nothing goes to them unless you allow it — once, for a single question, or for a while, or always. When you do, we choose which service, and it is paid for out of the same fee. No extra bill, ever.

Because an app you rent is a room in someone else's building: your questions travel to its computers, and the subscription never ends. This one reads and answers on a machine that is yours alone — in your building or in our locked cabinet — and the model it trains is yours alone while the service runs.
