We load your archive by hand, to the written scope, before your year begins — so you can ask your assistant questions about your papers from the first day. A little preparation on your side makes that go smoothly. Your assistant arrives with a name, and you can change it.
How your files are handled
Your assistant reads your files in your own encrypted space in our private cloud on Amazon Web Services. The reading, the sorting and the answering all happen inside that space, and every record in it is scoped to you — never pooled, never shared, never used to train anyone else's model. Your archive is loaded and organized so answers come from your own records, with citations, so you can check them before you rely on them.
Preparing Your Documents
Get your papers into a form a computer can open — scans, photos or PDFs are all fine. Put them in folders that make sense to you, because those folder names help your assistant find things later. Have a rough idea of how much you are handing over — a shoebox or a filing cabinet, it is inside the first year either way.
How your archive gets there
You do not import anything. Our letter tells you how to send your material, and we load it by hand, to the written scope, into your own encrypted space. Files are scrambled on the way to us. Working copies outside your space are erased afterwards, confirmed in writing, and you are told in writing what was loaded.
For technical readers. Your material reaches us as an encrypted transfer and is written to your own encrypted space — encrypted at rest with keys held in AWS KMS, encrypted whenever it moves, every record scoped to you. Indexing runs inside the same private boundary, the stores that hold your archive have no public endpoints, and provenance — source, date, location — is kept end to end, which is what lets answers cite the records they came from.
When your assistant is ready
There is no machine to build or ship and nothing to install, so it is ready in days. When we write that your assistant is ready, ask it for something from the messaging app you already use, and change its name if you like.
Afterwards
What we load lives in your space. Backups of it run continuously and encrypted, and restoring them is our job — and you can ask for a complete copy of your material at any time. Your archive, whatever its size, is inside the first year; if more arrives later, tell us and we load that too. See how your history gets loaded.
