Everything your assistant knows lives in your own encrypted space in our private cloud — your documents, your preferences, what it has learned about how you like things done. That raises a fair question: what happens if something fails, and who does the work?
You do nothing. Backups run continuously and encrypted, and restoring them is our job. If a store fails somewhere you will never see, or we make a mistake of our own, we restore your space ourselves. You do not point anything at anything, and you do not start over.
Your copy, whenever you ask. In the hardware era we supplied a drive with a copy of your material on it, so your records never depended on us. That promise has been replaced, and this page should say so plainly: you can now ask for a complete copy of your material at any time — not only on the way out — and you receive it. Corrections and deletions of what the assistant remembers are honored, and confirmed in writing.
If the service breaks, we fix it. The shape of the old hardware promise carries over: our job, not yours, and you will never be asked to diagnose anything. If we cannot fix it, the remainder of the paid year is returned.
At the end. When the service ends, your space and everything in it is deleted, and the deletion is confirmed to you in writing. Nothing about you stays behind.
